WHAT MAKES LIFE WORTH LIVING
“Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human
being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this
light”
Albert Schweitzer
Hello Folks!
Today is a very special day for me and I want to share some life gained experiences till now. What makes life worth living. So let’s start.
Now and then, we are faced with confusion, anxiety, and even questions; if life is worth living. Obviously, as humans, we do come across such questions in our lives.
What matters at the end of the day is to analyze the output/by-product of all our efforts of the years gone by. That will help us in understanding whether life is worth living.
Helping others makes my life worth living. The satisfaction I gain from it cannot be explained in words.
The smiles and joy that it puts on People’s faces are of great value to me and I would love to cherish each day with the same zest and zeal.
Secondly, is the Purpose in Life. Life is not just being happy. It has much more to offer.
As humans and individuals, our aim should be, be useful, honorable, and be compassionate. To make a difference and say it out loud that one has lived and lived well.
Thirdly, Focus on Developing Meaningful Relationships. Our relationships with people in our environment give solid meaning to our lives. Thus making it worth living.
However, we need to be very careful while fostering relationships with people. Supportive relationships help us in excelling to our purpose in life whereas non-supportive relationships can bring us down.
Fourthly, a Positive Mindset is a must thing for having a life that is worth living. No one has ever gained anything productive from a negative mindset.
The more positive and productive the thoughts are, the more productive would be the output.
Fifth is Appraisal. No one can progress without the acknowledgment or appraisal from others for what you have done or are doing.
Positive appraisal or acknowledgment can take one to greater heights of achievement making life worth living after all.
Sixth is the Sense of Achievement which makes life worth living. Achievement can be anything from simple to complex.
For some upbringing of children in the most productive way is an achievement. For others, pursuing a top-most career is an achievement.
Whatever, be the achievement, make sure, you are satisfied with it fully.
Seventh is Gratitude which makes life worth living. Whatever small or big you have gained, be gratified for it.
Do not make your or others’ life miserable for what you do not have or have not gained.
Eighth, Love with all your might. Always give without expecting anything in return. You, yourself will witness the benefits in countless ways.
Ninth, Listen to what others have to say. Not everyone gets the privilege to be a listener. It’s a gift and needs to be used very wisely. Thus making life worth living.
And Lastly, learn from other people’s mistakes instead of creating your own. This keeps you ahead of everyone.
Never fear to take the advice of someone younger than you. They might have more wisdom than you have.
In the end, I would like to reiterate that there are so many other things in life than the ones mentioned above worth living.
“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”

[…] The Search for I/Me is like a book of new beginnings that is similar to coming into this world. Except for the fact that our realities differ then and now in terms of self-healing and discovery.https://www.sabahataamir.com/what-makes-life-worth-living/ […]
Having read this I thought it was rather informative. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this information together. I once again find myself spending way too much time both reading and leaving comments. But so what, it was still worth it!
